There is a marriage record for
John Day b. 1890
L.B. Vitito b. 1904
21 August 1930
Davidson County, TN

1930 Census Robertson County
L.V. Vetetoe 26 (daughter/single)

Next entry:
Rudolph Haskins 32 (1900 census shows he's the brother of Calperna Haskins/Hoskins)

in 1930 Davidson County
John Day 40 (widower)
Vergil Dukes 18
George Day 16
Cordie Day 16

It appears that a John Day married Caley/Callie/Calperna Haskins in 1906 and then married L.V. Vetetoe in 1930. He appears to have been born about 1890.

There is another John Day who was born in 1886.

WW1 Draft record
John Wiley Day
b. Dec 15, 1886
Lived in Somerville, Fayette Co.
He is listed as single.

This John Day appears to have remained single into 1930. He also appears to be the son of Robert and Georgia.

There is also a 1941 Tennessee death record for
Willie Sam Day
The reported parents are:
John Henry Day
Callie Haskins

I'm sure there are two different men named John Day. Are you sure Dewey Elton's father's middle name was Wiley?

Hope this is helpful.
