A search on the web for Alice Daymude's sister Laura - of the Kearney,
Nebraska area - returned the following information (from a web site that
seems to escape further attempts to relocate!):

EXTRACTED INFORMATION:
Soldiers Orphans Home - Davenport Iowa - list for 01 January 1867
Daymude, Wm B - Co F, 8th IA Infantry-Keokuk Co-not dead
Daymude, Laura 9
Daymude, Rosa 13

Laura's married name was Labart. Laura and her family remained in the
Kearney, Nebraska area. There is a possibility that this could be Alice's
and Laura's father - William B. Daymude. What about Rosa? Alice was
thought to have been around 16-20 years old when she married in 1883. If so
that would make it unlikely that Rosa and Alice are the same person.

Any information would be welcome.
