I have traced my family history back to Fareham, England. I ‘m writing this in hopes of establishing a contact with a relative of mine.
My father is George William Day. My dads father was George Daniel Day who came to Canada in 1910 from Fareham, England. George Daniel Day was born April 21st, 1875 at the Travellers Rest, Fareham, England. My grandpas parents were William and Charlotte Day who lived at 52 Funtley Lane, Fareham. William passed away on January 23rd, 1906 at the age of 61 years and he is interred in the Fareham cemetery. From census records I have found that William and Charlotte had the following children Ada C., William J., George D.(my grandpa), Dina E., Maud M., Florence A., Mabel, Bertie H., Percival, James, Kate and Amy.
From the records I have concluded that William married twice with his first wife being Charlotte Hunt and his second wife being Charlotte ??. By looking at the 1851 Census William’s parents were Daniel and Frances Day.
