Sylvester Welsh was appointed guardian of Hannah, Ebenezer and Andrew MORTON in Feb 1795. This was in New Castle Co Delaware. These were the minor children of Ebenezer MORTON and his first wife. Is Sylvester their uncle? Or is he simply a court appointed guardian with no relationship to the minors? Hannah MORTON is my ancestress and I am looking for the relationship between her and Sylvester. Of course, her mother's name would be great and --- could it be Welsh?
In 1830 Sylvester Welsh is 70-80 and I do not find him in Delaware in 1840 so I presume he died 1830-1840. He would have been born 1750-1760.
