Hello,
I am descended from Charles Springer, a Swedish fellow who was kidnapped while attending school in London, England in the mid 1600s. He was brought to Virginia, and eventually settled in Wilmington, Delaware.
In 2008, I was at my local bank, and was surprised to find out that my customer service rep was also descended from this fellow (and she was African American). Unfortunately, her only relative that knew of the exact connection died shortly before the two of us met. The bank employee's first name was Dushiell. I have not been able to find her again, since she left the bank and moved out of state.
She told me that each year she went to an Africa American Springer family reunion of 150+ people. Does anyone know of this branch of Charles Springer's family? I'm really curious to know the connection.
