Because of the age difference of Thomas Hammond 1872, and Wilhelmina, and they were married 7 years, I am wondering if Wilhelmina had son Emory with a different husband and that is why it is so difficult to find her maiden name and parents. Wilhelmina is a true mystery in this case and I have only found on in the one census as Thomas Hammonds wife. Emory was 9 and they had only been married 7 years. Doesn't mean he couldn't have been born out of wedlock, but again because of her age, I'm betting she was possibly married before? Any thoughts on Wilhelmina?
