Cely--my wife is descended from Martin Deadwyler who migrated to the US from Germany in 1749. Your posting says 1849. Are we talking about the same fellow? Could the Genforum note be a misprint? There is Deadwyler info available in the Webb and Willhite/Wilhoit lines as well. Thanks Ron McCurry
