James Deal of Amsterdam, NY
Posted by: James C. Seymour Jr. (ID *****2591) Date: October 05, 2012 at 19:28:08
  of 1770

I am tracing my grandmother Olive Deal Seymour's family tree back. I can only trace it back to her grandfather James Deal born about 1805 in New York. This James Deal appears on the 1850 Census for Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. He is shown on this census record with his wife Eveline/Evaline also born abt. 1805. Also shown are his children alive as of 1850. My grandmother's father was Albert Deal as son of James and Eveline Deal not born as of the 1850 census. Can anyone tell me who this James Deal's parents were? I can find a Henry Deal and Bastian Deal in Montgomery County, NY on the 1810 Census but can not find out if this James is related to these Deals. Can anyone help me out? I've been Family Search, Ancestry.com and World Connect with no real help from these sites. Thanks, Jim.
