In fact, Wendy, everything seems to fit. So the hypothetical scenario is:
Moses Dean was another son of Jonathan Dean and Mary Cole, born between Ebenezer and Martin.
Moses Dean married Mary Parker before 1830, and they had a daughter Freelove Dean born about 1831 (possibly named after Mary Cole's half-sister Freelove Cole and/or grandmother Freelove Mason).
Moses died about 1831. Mary Parker, Widow Dean, married Harmon Horn after 1831. Her young daughterwas raised as Freelove Horn.
It's fun when speculations like this turn out to be true . . . I wonder where we could find more information about the Deans and Parkers of Wayne Co., Illinois in the 1820s-1830s?
