Lower Canada Land Petitions can be viewed online from the National Archives Ottawa Canada site. Gaius Dean along with numerous Americans applied for land in Quebec and represented by Peter Savage of Vermont. Gaius Dean was unsuccessful and applied in 1798 for land in Haldimand Twp , Ontario. Other names on the list were John Dean, Elias Pratt, Jared Pratt, David Perry, Samuel Dean Sr , Samuel Dean Jr, John Dean, William Dean, Isaac Dean,Concord Phillips, Content Phillips, Gershom Lyon Jr, Asa Lyon, Jonathon Morse, Thomas Hogeboom, Ebenezer Allen, Henry Sager.
