I am trying to trace relatives of Hugh Deane, a tailor, who was born in Dublin about 1837 and who emigrated to England some time later. According to information contained from the 1881 Census, he lived at that time in 44, Fortess Road, Tufnell Park, London, and by his wife Julia had three children, Gilbert (my grandfather), Florence and Montague. Residing in the same house were his brother and sister - in - law, Thomas and Phoebe Deane.
