In the archival collections of the Ashtabula County District Library System there is housed an old hotel register. It is for the Fisk House that was on Main Street in Ashtabula. This register covers 1861 through April 2, 1866, when the hotel closed. In 1862, E.G. Gleason was proprietor. Under the date of January 8, 1862, we find the following registration: "O.C. Tracy, Agent of the Children's Aid Society N.Y. with 23 children from the Society as follows:
