John & Lavina Dean(e)/Rev War Period/ Eastern NY-Western MA
Posted by: Richard Dean (ID *****1917) Date: September 26, 2004 at 12:02:01
  of 617

Looking for ancestry of John Dean(e). He married Lavina Higby and had the following children:
Silas - b 9-20-1767
Stephen - b 5-5-1769
Electa - b 4-26-1771
Lavinia - bap 5-9-1773
Lydia - bap 9-25-1995
He was a Lt in the Rev. War and supposedly died between Dec, 1775 & Jan 1776 during the invasion.
He and Livinia lived in Berkshire, NY. She later married John Fiske. She lost her children to the courts as a result of officials of the church petitioning that her new husband was unfit.
Seeking specifics on his birth and ancestors.
                                          Richard Dean
