Luke Deane of Austerfield
Posted by: Simon Dean (ID *****0809) Date: November 03, 2005 at 04:50:30

I have in my family tree, a possibility of a Luke Deane who married a Sarah Hutchinson. According to the IGI This was on the 26th of August 1810 in Austerfield, Yorkshire, England.

This is listed in Pallots Marriage Index(?) and shows Luke Deane possibly coming from Austerfield, but I havent found a matching record in the IGI, the closest one is for a Luke Deane chrisened on 2nd December 17871 in Castleford, Yorkshire, England.

It might appear by 1815, when he has a son called John Dean (christened in Wakefield), the "e" from the name is dropped.

Luke's father would appear to be John Deane according to the IGI.

Just asking around at the moment to see if anyone might know anything further. All these John Deane's are well, a bit numerous.

Finding more information is beginning to get a bit hazardous.
