Hi,
I am also tracing my Deane origins. My Deane line goes back to the Forest of Dean in the north of England in 1045. Over the centuries the name has evolved from, Dene to A'Dene to Dean to Deane. The first recorded usage of the name Dene in my line is in 1068.
