How much further back is John Deane from:

Name: William Lambe DEANE
Sex: M
Birth: JUN 1759 in Saint Thomas, Barbados, Caribbean

After talking with you, I did a quick search in Heritage Quest and found your Grandfather Richard A. Deane in the 1920 Census. It looks like he worked as a fitter at a yard.

It is nice to find someone else who is researching the family. Most of what I have is based on a tree that my Dad got from Daisy and Allen Dash. I was going through some old stamps that I got from my Grandparent's and found letters from Daisy and Allen to my Great Grandmother Roselle. The letters where sent from Barbados in 1949. It appears that Daisy and Allen spent an entire summer in Barbasos in that year.

There is a lot of talk about the store that my Great Grandfather Harold Deane worked at. There is also mention of the church that the family used to attend and where Daisy and Allen got married.

I will keep you posted if I learn anything more and am looking forward to any pictures that you have as well as information about your Grandfather and family. I had run across your Grandfather at one time, but didn't know how he fit in at the time since I only knew about Daisy. Since he has the same name as his father, my research was thrown off. It is nice to have that bit of information sorted out now. I will have to update my site.
