Hello SIr,
I was on Geneology.com and was reading the different messages for Deane's from Barbados and it seemed you had the most information. My Grandfather was Henry Huston Deane from Bridgetown, St Michael, Barbados. He was born in Bridgetown 18 November 1914 and reviewing Ellis Island information he and his brother came here in 1916.They are listed as Harry 1 1/2 years old and Eric Deane 3 years old and was traveling with their Aunt Nellie Bascom per his military service record.Unfortunatly he died in WWII on the USS Longshaw on 18 May 1945 and I never had a chance to meet him.The only information on his family was that his parents had died and he had a brother Richard who lived in New Jersey.
Any information you might have on the Deane's in Barbados would be wonderful. The family has been able to trace my mothers mothers and Fathers side to the American revolution.I would love to be able to fill in the blanks for the two daughters he has and seven Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.I did send this same information to your email but the message date here is a few years old.
