My Great Uncle, George Winthrup Dearborn is a veteran of the civil War, 13th New Hampshire Volunteers. In his Bio written for the History of the Regiment, he states that his grandfather fought in the Revolution with his brother "the General". I assume that he is speaking of General Henry Dearborn. I have been unable to find any information about George Winthrup who was born about 1800. My Great Uncle's name is George Winthrup also. He was born in Ossipee NH in 1835. His sister, my Great grandmother was born in 1826. I have all the Obituary's from the Laconia NHDemocrat.

I don't know if this is any help to you, but am willing to share any thing I have.

Bill Knight, Tucson AZ
