I have stumbled onto a Jonathan Dearborn, his wife Eunice, and their five children. He appears in only one Census, 1830, as Jona Darborn, in Exeter, Maine. Hash marks are Male 1(40-49), 1(15-19), 1(10-14), 2(under 5), Female 1(30-39), 1(15-19), 1(10-14), 1(5-9), for a total of 9 person, with 7 under 20. I have found 5 birth records, Elijah 1820 Apr 07 Corinna, Sally W 1823 Feb 14 Exeter, William Chester 1825 Aug 11 Exeter, George Washington 1828 Oct Exeter, Charles 1832 May 11 Exeter, all Penobscot, Maine by wife Eunice. Elijah marries 1844 Aug 05 Old Town, Sarah B Wiggin and has two daughters, Eunice C 1845 May 07 Old Town - 1855 Newport) and Frances M (1846 Newport - ). His wife, Sarah died 1855 Oct 08 Newport, Penobscot, Maine and no further record of Elijah or daughter Frances M. Sally W married Corinna 1846 Mar 01 James B Currier, no further record. William Chester married Maine 1849 Oct 29 Hannah Anna A Prescott (1832 Maine - ) with one daughter Mary E (1853 Maine - ), not found 1850, 1860 Corinna, 1870 Newport, 1880 Newport, and no further record. George Washington married Maine 1863 Apr 20 Cynthia A White (1844 Nov Maine - ) with 3 sons 1 dau born Corinna, Frank D, Charles E, Mabel E, Albion R. (She probably married Edward's George instead). Charles in the 1870 Census with wife Mary J, and children, Hattie L 7, Nellie W 3, Charles E 3mos. He is with brother Elijah in the 1850, and not yet found in the 1860. I'd like to know more about this family. jimscamman@hotmail.com
