In regards to your query, I think I can help a little. According to my findings from the Ayreshire roots website (found through yahoo.uk), Sarah Dearie was the daughter of John Dearie and Elizabeth Climie. John Dearie was born in Kilmarnock in 1855. Elizabeth was also from Kilmarnock born in 1856. Unfortunately that's where the line on John Dearie ends. But you can trace Elizabeths family all the way back to 1630. My own father has told me how his Great-Great grandparents were orphaned in Ireland, and that a lot of the records have been destroyed over the years. So it may be a little difficult to get beyond that, but good luck.
Hope it helps.
Alexis Dearie
