My only knowledge of Bessie Dearie is from the IGI where it says that Andrew McCastline was born in Westchester and he married Bessie or Eliz. Dearie on 30 April 1867. His parents are Robert McC. and Emilie Rayned. This sounds like he is your relative. On the Manhattan, New York census for 1880 she is a widow. I don't know if they had any chidren and I haven't checked any original sources. At the moment I am trying to find out where in Philadelphia Bessie and her siblings: Mary, Annie, Maria and George Dearie were born and more about the Dearies and New York at this time. Do you know what profession Andrew was in? Bessie's father and brother ran a saloon in Wilkes Barre and her half brothers in New Orleans were lockmiths and bell makers.
