I'm Richard Neubauer, oldest son of Fredrick
Neubauer who's mother was Mary Dearie. She
said the family name was changed when they
got off the boat. It used to be Derry but
the officials decided it was spelled Dearie.
She was also definitely Irish but loved a
nip of Scotch whiskey. Before Cleveland, the
Dearie's lived in Olyphant, PA which is where
she met my grandfather, Richard W. Her mother
was a Burke (Scottish?, Elisabeth I believe.
