Texas had became a state in 1848 and ther are Dearing's as well as many others from Virginia in our early books of records. I would try there and North Carolina where other Dearing began moving to from these lines of Dearing's from North Carolina they moved across the country into Georga, Tennessee and Missouri, some in Oklahoma and Arkansas before Texas all by 1880. I also have a John Dearing of Virginia and Mary Sims that has a son named Sims Dearing in North Carolina in 1797, married in White Co, TN to Nancy Broyles, dies aft 1860 in Arkansas and they have abt 10 known children. This John Dearing is also thought to belong to Edward Dearing-possibly grandson somehow. But do note that alot of years expand between generations in the 1700's collected data. Now more had more than one wife and possibly a whole generation is out of line with this family tree. All these Dearings seen together traviling and carring the same family data, are family members somehow. So for now I stop at John and Mary Sims Dearing but have a whole string of their descendants to present day.
