Could this be related to Thomas Dearmond, who signed a petition in Sept. 1821 to make part of eastern Blount county, Tn join Monroe County Tenn. I am following migration patterns for another signer in the area: John Riminton (who I beleive was in the Remington or Remerton line) from NC and possibly earlier in Pa. My line moved to Indiana (Wayne, Tippecanoe and Boone) about 1822-4. Some of the Dearmond family may have moved on to Johnson County, Missouri.
