Hello,
I wanted to post a message saying that I am wanting to learn more about the "De Armond Family." I am a De Armond and live in Odenton, Maryland. After high school, I joined the US Navy for nine years. I got out in 2000 and stayed with the US Gov. I am from the Muhlenburg County, Kentucky area. My dad grew-up in Dunmor, KY. My mom grew-up in Beechcreek, KY. My family still live in that area.
I am new at all of this research, but willing to learn anything I can from anyone. Let me know what you think about this, please. To make it easy for my family, my plans are to make a Word Document/Form with as many questions as I can think of. These questions would be related to finding-out about them and/or their family. But, I'm not certain what questions to ask, except for the basic name, place-of-birth, etc. So, if you have any ideas on how I can get started with this or suggest another way to get information from my family, please let me know. Once I get this information, I'm going to send it to someone to add to "the tree."
I plan on buying the "The History of the DeArmond Families of America and Related Families" as soon as I can. I got a mailing address, so I'm looking foward to contacting the author to get the information needed to buy the book.
