Your autosomal DNA results dovetail with at least 3 male Y chromosome test results of Irish DNA for men with a DeArmond surname male ancestor. My male line 3x great grandfather, William DeArment (DeArmond) was born in Ireland in 1784. I was disappointed initially to have lowly Irish DNA instead of noble French Huguenot ancestors. Further refined testing (SNP M222+) revealed I am highly probable to be a direct male line descendant of Niall of the nine hostages, the legendary king of Ireland in the 5th century A.D. This coincides with the ancient annals that list the sept of O'Duibhdhiorma as descended from Niall.
