I have been reading about Thomas DeArmond of Donegal, Ireland: He was the son of Alexander Diermond of County Donegal. Thomas was born about 1735. He came to America as a young man, settled in Dauphin County, PA. He had a French wife who died in childbirth after his arrival in PA, so he returned to Ireland for another bride and married Peggy King (b. 1755 and d. 1800-1810), brought her to PA, probably around 1766. Children followed: King (1767), Alexander (1769), Samuel (1774-1784), Robert K. (1784)
This information is found in the DeArmond Families of America and Related Familes, compiled by Roscoe Carlisle d'Armand. Your Thomas comes from Line E. I come from Line A-1, also Thomas DeArmond via Lancaster, PA and Mecklenberg County, NC.
