You might check Pat Roberts McDonald's website, "Roots of Roane" . DeArmond was researched by her father, Snyder Roberts, plus she has done some on it. I have a very collateral DeArmond who married into a collateral Brashears Roane co lines. Roane Co. connections begin with John E. Nelson m 30 Jan 1815 Mary "Polly" Daley/Dailey. Besides Dailey-Nelson, Roane Collaterals & directs Include Brashears,Butler, Davis, Giles, Ives, Liles/Lyles, May, Silvey, Winters.

I am interested in Jane Darmon [sic] who signed affidavit in Smyth Co., VA 22 March 1879, for War 1812 Pension #24419 of Elizabeth (nee Clinton) Dailey, wid of James Dailey. James discharged 1814 Kingston, Roane co., TN. James d Elizabethton, Carter co. TN 1834 and Elizabeth apparently removed to Smyth co, VA afterward. Trying to make the Dailey connection.
