Dear Kaye, we have been in contact before and we were going to exchange info and pictures. I have not been well, but am better now. I have found additional information on John Jack Deasy from the Naval Records in St. Louis, MO. John Jack was born on June 15, 1973, in Court Mac Sherry, Cork, Ireland. He died Dec. 23, 1923, in the Soldier's Field Home, Los Angeles, LA Co. CA. We found his grave in the National Cemetery right across street from the Soldier's Home. We found he served in the Navy and mostly in the Spanish American War. We have all the ships he did serve on and will try to get any more papers from the enlistments (twice he enlisted and survived his time on The U.S.S.Charleston. If you find any matches from this new info, please let me know as this is the first new info in quite a while. He was 5 feet 5-7/8" tall, weighing 154 lbs. with a scar on his forehead.
