Gordon Deas, TX

I am looking for information on Gordon Deas who was the step-son of Samuel Boyd Patton listed in 1850 census in Hays Co., TX. His mother was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). After the 1850 census he seemed to disappear. His father must have died previous to 1837 because the mother married Samuel Patton and in 1838 had a son by Samuel. Any information will be of great help.
