New information has William "Bill" Deas with a first wife, Sallie Rivers. They had 3 children, Bessie who married an Etheridge, Jim (James Alford) who married Mabel Etheridge and Dave. Sallie died and he remarried to Perlie Crenshaw and they had 2 children, Bernie and Lita. It is my belief that they came from Clarke County, Ala. to Levy and Alachua Counties in Florida. Bill and Perlie are buried in Chiefland Cemetery, Levy County, Florida, Jim and Mabel in Archer Cemetery, Alachua County, Florida but have not found Jim's grave there yet. Family says he's there. Am trying to make the Florida/Alabama connection.
