apparantly my great grandfather came over from scotland. my father is named Henry peter, grandfather is named Philip James and my grandfather named William Henry. My grandfathers brother, James fought in the WW2 for the British at El Alamein. My father always told me that the Deas' have a few family names - being James, Henry, William and Peter. James is the main one.
During the great trek the Deas' settled in Oudstoorn and were successful wagonmakers.
Does any body have any more info, I am wanting to construct some kind of family tree
