Hi Judi,
Somehow, the DEAS surname has a connection to my WEEDEN,
WHILDEN, WEELDON/BROWN AA/Native line of SC, NC and VA.
Suspect that some ancestors chose to pass for white, but I still research to try to document my own family ancestry.
Have yet to hear from ANYONE who acknowledges kinship.
Am especially anxious to find ANY info of my ggrandmother,
CHARATA BROWN, mulatto, born 1833 NC----find nothing on Her or Her line.
