I am sharing some of my files and hope they may benefit some Dever researchers.

Colony of N.C. 1734-1764 Abstracts of Land Patents by Margaret Hofman

3797 Page 428 Robert Taylor 3 April 1749 100 acres in Johnston County on Indian Cabbin Branch near Gilbert Deavors, joining Henry Deavors.

7007 Page 31 John Deavor 23 December 1763 175 acres in Duplin County on the E. side of the N.E. Branch of Cape Fear River joining the Great Road, Edward Carter, William Williams and William Grady.

7088 Page 31 William Grady 23 Dec 1763 500 acres in Duplin County (now Pender) in the E. side on the E. side of the N.E. Branch of Cape Fear River joining John Deavors, William Williams, the N.E. swamp, John Lawhorn, the Gread Road, Lewis Barfield and a point opposit James Williams' plantation by Burncost Swamp. (This was copied to give neighbors of John Deavors and probably family his children married into)
(The above shows, also, that there was a Gilbert and Henry Deaver living in Johnston County in 1749; and a John, living in Duplin County in 1763.
