I have two pages of the DeVore/De Vore 1600 to 1992 book by Betty Mann. On page 66 there is an entry for a Gilbert Dever. M. Elizabeth Freeman daughter of John Freeman and Ellizabeth Morley.They lived in Port Republlic,Calvert Co. MD. it names 5 known children. James, Grace b.1701,William, Richard, John and James. It has one known son for James as James Jr. Is this the Gilbert from RIchard and Grace? It seems that it is but since I am not an expert on this line I want to verify this. On the next page it lists the Ohio Deavers. It starts out with Abraham as father to Basel Deaver(Who married Chew Pierpoint) then it lists their children and so on down the line. If this is so could there be a connection to the Ohio Deavers from Richard and Grace. If so this is quite a find. Judy
