You did not include your name or E-mail address in your posting, so I could not answer you directly. That's why I am answering your letter here.
You asked if your family members in the 1900rds. are in our book "The Dever and Related Families".Most of the early family lines in the book are brought up into the 1800rds but not into the 1900rds.
The names you asked for, Hugh Dever and Harvey Dever. These names are in the index.
Hugh Dever appears on 75 pages, in earlier and later years, (the latest one being b. 1876 in Va.There is also Hugh F., Hugh James, and Hugh W.
Harvey Dever appears on 3 pgs. the latest one being b. abt 1903 Tx, son of Rayford E. and Minerva Jane (Carpenter) Dever. Rayford and Minerva had twelve children, but none named Hugh, unless it would be J.H. or E.H. or a middle name for some of the other children.
"The Dever and Related Families" begins with the very early families (1600rds) in the early counties of Maryland and shows the migration of these families to other states, (NC,KY,TN,TX,VA,WVa,OH,etc.)The book has 995 pgs of family genealogies, Arms & Crest, family lines and stories about their lives, connections to other families, pictures, history of the areas where they lived, maps and more.Sources include bible records, church records, land records, and other records and books, etc. found in Major and Minor Depositories during our many years of traveling here and there doing research.
The book includes family lines, history of, and information and stories about the DeVere families in England, beginning with Aubrey (Alberic) deVer, born about 1040, who was the son of Alphonso, Count de Ghesnes. The family name was originally Ver.Thanks for asking about the book.
