I hope this message still reaches you. I am researching a John Wesley Deaver who was born in Indiana in 1841 and I believe was a brother to the Henry Deaver you are describing. I think this family is the one at White Lake, Hamilton County, Indiana in 1850. By 1860, both of them are living as farm laborers on farms. I don't know if the father, Henry, was dead by then. Anyway, the only problem is that in 1860, Henry Deaver is still in White Lake, but John Wesley Deaver is located three counties away in Bartholomew County. There he marries Margaret Jane Crislip and then he goes to medical school, probably in Chicago, and later settles in Clinton County, which touches on Hamilton County. So, I know that the John Wesley Deaver who appears in Bartholomew County IS the one from my family. I just don't know for sure if he is the same as the one in White Lake in 1850, who appears to be related to Henry. Do you know more about this family?
