This is not my Richard (Begining to think my Richard doesn't exist) but thought someone might be interested.

From Lee's Army - Killed and Wounded in the
27th Regiment at Bristow Station, VA
Headquarters Cooke's Brigade
Bristow Station, VA
Oct 15, 1863

DEAR PROGRESS:-The fight which commenced at
this place, Bristow Station, on yesterday
evening, at 2 o'clock, p.m., continued with
unabated fury until after dark. Our loss in
killed was comparatively small, but in wounded,
much larger than common, and especially in
officers. Below I give you as far as possible
a list, of both, as far as I could obtain it,
on the 27th. I will forward the list of the
other regiments of our brigade as soon as I
can procure them.

(NOTE FROM CONTRIBUTER, I HAVE SKIPPED
FIELD AND STAFF AND COMPANIES A, B AND C, TO
SAVE SPACE AND SHOW RICHARD DEAVER'S
COMPANY D.)

Company D-Killed-None, Wounded-Lts T F Worley,
in right foot slightly; Sergt D G Taylor, left
leg, flesh wound; Sergt E Goodman, leg severe;
Sergt H S Minn, leg;, arm and face, flesh wounds;
Corpl Z Harper, left leg slight; Corpl J R Gray,
slightly. Privates A B Blizzard, severely in
head; W D Carter, right hand; B A Carter, left
fore finger gone. Lewis Davenport, left leg flesh
wound; Wm J Freeman, neck and right shoulder
severe; John Howard, left leg; James Hardee,
thigh slight; Q E Lee, side severely; D C Lee,
right thigh slight; John Quinn, left hip severely;
Daniel Stroud, thigh and stomach severe; R (U/O?)
Rogers, right arm severe; Wm S Worley, left hand;
W Outlaw, Richard Deaver, Arebas Turner, prisoners
and wounded. Missing-Wm Brown.
