Edward de Vere
Posted by: Richard Deaver (ID *****1804) Date: October 27, 2011 at 13:40:20

There is a movie coming out this weekend called Anonymous about Edward de Vere, which some of you may be aware of already.

Is there any known source of how or when the name de Vere evolved into Dever, Deaver, etc? I know it started as Ver in France prior to the Norman Conquest, but am very curious about the evolution of the name and if anyone with Dever or Deaver ancestry can be traced back to the de Vere name.

Does anyone know anything about this or a possible source of where I can research it?
