my husband's great grandfather was Lewis Tillman DeBoard, married to Nancy J. White DeBoard. As told to him by his grandmother, Josie, this Lewis DeBoard (her father) was shot after he had fixed a gun and the man picked up the gun and pointed it at him and shot him (i assume not knowing it was loaded) and he died soon after. They lived in Oklahoma Territory. Husband said he's heard stories of Welch, Centralia, Nowata and Lenepah. Lewis and Nancy are both buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery, west of Lenepah.

Does any of this ring a bell? If so, let's exchange some info? Thanks!!

Jennifer
