After much research on my family I have found this.
Elijah was with the 37th NC and was killed at Chancellorsville. I have yet to find his burial place but am still looking.
His brother Thomas was wounded at Chancellorsville as noted by Hurshel. He was moved to Lynchburg where he underwent another surgery and later died as a result of the surgery. He is buried in the old city cemetery in Lynchburg. His headstone shows his initials TJD and his unit. I have his burial record form and a copy as noted in the doctors burial records. If you would like it, let me know and i can email it to you.
