Don't know where he was buried, but this is copied from the family Bible of Reuben Debord and Elizabeth Groseclose of Ashe NC, formerly from Smyth VA.

Elijah C. Debord was born Friday the 10th day of January AD 1840
Elijah C. Debord died July 1st day AD 1862 age 22 yrs 5 mos 21 days.
Elijah C. Debord left home, started to Kingston in order to volunteer as a Confederate Soldier, April 2nd 1862.
Elijah C. Debord died in Richmond in service as a soldier about July 1st day 1862 age 22 yrs, 5 mos 21 days.

Elijah had two brothers who also died in the War, but I don't think it was the 37th; have to check on that.
Thomas J. Debord died 20 June 1863 in Clayton Hospital in Lynchburg from wounds recieved on 3 May 1863 in battle of Chancellorville. Thomas left home on 11 Aug 1862, started to Statesville as a conscript.
And William H. M. Debord died abt Feb 1865 in prison hospital at Camp Douglas in Chicago with different diseases and starvation. Wm left home and started to Camp Vance on June 16th 1864; Taken prisoner at Camp Vance by Kirk and sent to Camp Douglas in Chicago Illinois.

All above from family Bible.
