This sounds a lot like the Christopher De Board I am looking for as well. This is what I know about him. He was born on June 26 1898 in Kansas City or in Kansas and served in WWI. He married a Stella Smith (July 26, 1906) in the 1920s and they had two children, the youngest was Marie Christine De Board. Shortly after they were divorced (, as he was frequently in and out of their lives. The youngest daughter was later placed in the Illinois Childrens Aid Society and adopted by a family in Illinois (this is my grandmother).

The adoption agency provided a summary of family history known at the time of adoption and this is what they said. His parents died when he was young and he was cared for by a family named "Jackson". At age 6 his "foster" mom died and the dad remarried. The new wife was abusive. He had a sister named Florence, but she died in California.

There are a lot of similiarities here! Do you think they could be one in the same?
