When Humphry died, his widow Joan was given the Manor and Castle of Kimbolton as her Dower. She had two little girls, Eleanor age 7 and Mary age 3. Her Steward was William de Ricaby. Does anyone know what happened next? Did she actually live in Kimbolton? A few years later she tried to avoid paying taxes for a new bridge at nearby Huntingdon - was she living in Kimbolton at that time? She was widowed at the age of 25 and died at the age of 71 - a long widowhood - where did she spend it?

Any information will be very gratefully received. Thanks.
