I don't have anything on the Walker side, but have a little on the Debord side if you're interested in that.

I believe Jewell was d/o John Harvey DeBord ( b 1875 in Smyth Co VA d 1953 in Boron, CA) and Ada May Fristoe ( b 1883 in Shelby Co MO d 1988 at age 106 yrs)

John H. Debord Passed Away At His Home April 19
Funeral services for John Harvey Debord were held at the O'Donnell Chapel at Barstow. Rev. V. C. Horton of the Boron Baptist Church officiated. Mrs. Fae Sausser and Ralph Older sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Saved by Grace." Pall bearers were: Stan Sausser, Ertan Keyes, Ernest Shelton and Clifford Belding. In 1934 Mr. Debord moved to Boron from Hooppole, Illinois. He passed away at his home in Boron April 19; 1953 at 2:42 in the afternoon.
