I think it would be very useful for us to exhange notes, as I have also been researching the Whiteman family tree, because Jessie is my great-grandmother, who died in 1937.

To the best of my knowledge, she was the only surviving child of Frederick Henry Whiteman (1832-1890), whose siblings have descendants and Mary Ann (maiden name on my database at home), who was born in 1847.

Jessie Dorothy & Gustave Emil actually married in 1902 (Islington) and had three children - Stanley Edgar (1904-1970) my grandfather) / Oscar Frederick (1905-c.1972) / Gladys Dorothy (1907-1997).
