Hi, i am a Descoteaux by birth, anyone with this name comes from Ange Lefebvre dit Descotaux s/o Pierre Lefebvre and Jeanne Auneau s/o Pierre Lefebvre and Jeanne Cutiloup. Have you traced your line back to the emigrant? if so would love to exchange info. They came from the Trois Rivieres area of Quebec, then into New Hampshire and then into Massachusetts and else where. Anyway nice talking to another cuz. Carlene in Calif.
