BASIL DECOTEAU

Hello-I have an old photo of a young fella. The photo has 2 names written on the back: BASIL DECOTEAU and HENRY DOUGHTERY
*The Doughtery family was involved with INDIAN MISSIONARY work in MICHIGAN
I am trying to possibly determine WHO this phot would be..BASIL's name is written at the TOP(in ink) and HENRY's name is written in pencil in the upper middle back)
I finally found a photographer name on the front of this photo: HOWELL NY

*The photo doesnt look to me to be of a young INDIAN but there is definitly that name of BASIL DECOTEAU written also on the back--so that makes for lots of questions as to who this is a photo???

Any info/help appreciated
