Décuir: Early Creole Family of Louisiana

For the first time ever during the annual Creole Heritage Day events two early Creole founding families of Louisiana will be featured. Presentations will be given on both the Décuir and Metoyer families, followed by a comparative panel of experts for an engaging experience to hear from descendants of both families. An opportunity to learn from all in attendance will commence during the generous question and answer session.

Décuir panelists are Julie Eshelman-Lee –chair, Hon. W.E.B. Blackmon, Brian J. Costello, Randy DeCuir, Winston DeCuir, George DeCoux, Thomas Honoré, and Geraldine Porche West.

Come meet your Décuir and connected families! A hospitality area will be reserved to meet and exchange. Check for details upon arrival.
