My great grand uncle is John B Decuir (Jean Baptiste), born 1910 in Plaquemine, Iberville Parish, Louisiana. His family moved to Beaumont, Texas in about 1917-19. His parents are Albert Girard Decuir (born abt 1869 in Point Coupee, LA) and Liese Nereaux (born 1876 in Plaquemine). He had 2 brothers (Albert Baptiste & Robert Decuir) and three sisters (Haydee, Jane, & Thyra Decuir). His sister, Haydee, is my great grand mother. He left Texas in the 1920s, and it is believed that he was in Mexico for some time (he spoke fluent Spanish). He was also in California at some point. I'm not sure where or when (or if) he died. If any of this rings a bell, please contact me.
